Pro-JECT (Jrock in the East CoasT)

We have chosen to change the way we go about contacting the Artists. We felt the the way we originally had it was a little to much to ask for and too rushed in terms of timing. We chose to stick to only snail mail as our contact, since we feel hand-written letters give more impact. OHP/MS commenting will be much later in time. Before summer approaches, Cheministic, Shintotchi and myself will split the artists into 3 groups and as the individual leader of each group we will be in charge of taking letters you have written for that particular artist in our group.

I will post in the blog who has who and any further instructions needed in the future. I will try to post the artists addresses for future reference. Some bands we have removed for 1 of 2 reasons: 1) Said artist like Dir En Grey or MUCC have tour the states and does not need to be contacted as much about touring. 2) Disbandment (the band split up before they were contacted). The others may have never been to the states or have only been here once, therefore we feel they should receive the most attention. If you have any other names to add to the list please notify us through the idea box or email before we start.

WE ASK THAT YOU PUT NO SEXUAL/INAPPROPRIATE THINGS IN YOUR LETTERS PLEASE! The guidelines my be revised later as well. Please look to the site daily for changes!

Guidelines 

Snail Mail

{Opening} Dear *band member*

{Introduction} In this opening paragraph mention who you are, where you're from and that you want them to come to the East Coast.

{Body} This is where you put all of your personal stuff. Why you like them. How long you've been a fan. What their music means to you or how badly you want to see them live. How much they mean to you- whatever personal thing it is that you want them to know. (No sexual things, plzthx)

{Closer} Re-state that you would support them coming to perform overseas and how much you really hope they come to your state or to the East Coast.

{End} Sincerely (Love, From, or whatever ending words you like to use) and then your name.

PS: If you want to make a little drawing or put stickers on or whatever feel free to! If you know a little Japanese feel free to use that too. ^^

*Note* Some of the OHP's are completely in Japanese and have no sections for foreign languages. When you write your letters, try to encourage them to make such sections for the future. If you can find their message section easily without translation, by all means make your  message. If you cannot, let Aki know and she can get one of the staff members who know some Japanese to give you a small set of directions to their message board for fans. If they cannot get a gist of the site well to help you, then we will let you know.  Also if they don't have a MySpace, encourage them as well to get one.
