Vamps American Tour!

Akiyoshie Posted by Akiyoshie at 08:08 PM on March 21, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Great news for Vamps fans! The group stated on their MySpace that they will conduct a tour right here in America! Details and locations have not been announced, so I recommend while they are trying to decide where to go on the tour, go to their MySpace and ask them to come to your area on their comments page. The more messages they receive on that area, the better your chance of them seeing them close to home. Just don't overdo it =P.

~I would have posted this earlier but the blog was having problems~

Japanese TV

Excellent news Pro-JECToids! My Dear buds at JRock Revolution has found a way for you to watch Japanese TV online!

Keyhole TV is basically a mini tv server that broadcasts the main channels in Japan. What does this have to do with Jrock? Simple, all the shows that are posted with artist performances and talk throughs on Youtube from Music Fair, Music Station, Music Fighter, Heyx3 (Hey!Hey!Hey!), J-Melo and the like you can watch through Keyhole without having to wait for someone to upload. Drama lovers can also catch new episodes of their favorite shows through here, same goes for movies! Keyhole is downloadable to Mac, Windows and Linux users.

These are the pros of this little tv, here are the cons: 1) The quality isn't that great and the sound can sometimes be distorted, but the picture can be decent as long as said show doesn't have a high amount of viewers. If the show does have high ratings like Heyx3, then the quality will lose itself a little, but you should still be able to see a okay picture. 2) Timing. Due to Daylight Savings, Japan time is a AM/PM flip + one hour ahead. For example if J-Melo starts at 6 pm Japan time, for us to catch the same show, we would catch it at 5 am EST. Vice versa for their morning segments, if Heyx3 is at 3 am JPN time, we catch it at 2 pm EST. So for some (if you so choose) you'll have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to catch some of this XD. These cons may seem bad, but it's actually not that horrible. Trust me if you can watch bad quality vids on YouTube, you can watch Keyhole XD. I was able to catch Vamps live on Music Station yesterday morning (7 am to be exact) =P .

Anyways, in the next blog I'll put up the channel translations and some links for Japan's TV guides. Every week I'll try to post a weekly post on who is a appearing where and what channel along with the time translations . For those who recommend this to friends who are not on the East Coast, I'm not sure if these times will apply to you fully, My best guess is whatever time I give on a show, try to apply however many hours behind your are from the Eastern time zone and see if that works when you try to catch the show or check around to see how many hours you are from Japan and use the JPN time I posted and work from there. I posted a military time table chart for you to use. Even though it ends with 2300 hours, JPN time goes in to 2600 and such, so just count midnight as 2400, 0100 as 2500 and so on.

Also, we have Beeline TV, which is a alternative link for not only a couple Japanese channels, but Korean, Chinese and other channels from around the world are posted here. This site doesn't have the all the main channels like Keyhole, but it has a few that Keyhole doesn't have in its listing, so I'd say use both.  Happy Watching All! smile

*note* Due to the blog putting emocons in the website links, I'll put Keyhole, Beeline, and the chart in our Links section of the site.

WE'RE BACK!!!

Hello Pro-JECToids!

On behalf of myself and Pro-JECT staff, we apologize for the random 3 month hiatus.
Unfortunately, life and school has it important moments and it took us all by storm. Due to recent messages from our supporters asking us to come back, I (Akiyoshie) chose to not only revive the thread at Jrock Revolution, but remade over the site. Now we have good news and bad news. The bad news is we lost quite a few staff members over the past 3 months. Only me, Shintotchi and Cheministic remain as your staff. We feel though that this is good because even though our work load has been increased, we feel things will be more spread out amongst us three.

We chose to split our major sites and responsibilities. I still run the website and Livejournal. Shin will run our Facebook and leading Myspace. Chem will run our minor Myspace (we accidentally made two ^^;). Ever since the thread revival (which was in late February) the three of us had weekly meetings to do some major changing, including our letter/messaging process. So far, we have changed the rules of the site and removed a few things like the Photo Gallery and other widgets we feel we won't need until much later.

We are making 2 FAQ sections for the website itself and for artist contacting. We are also redoing the artist listing due to our website and MS listings being a little different and because some bands are unfortunately disbanding this year for whatever reasons. We have not started up the messaging process since we are still working on it, but if you have any bands you want to suggest, feel free to use the Idea Box.

Also, Freewebs have done a few changes themselves by upgrading plenty of their widgets and things. These new changes include members making profiles! For those who have joined before these changes, I sent an email blast about the profiles. I will do it again for just in case purposes.

We thank you all for continuing to support us. We are very appreciative of your effort to ask us to get back on our feet. I will keep updating this blog as much as I can, so please try to check daily. You'll never know what goodies we may have in store this year! Let's Jrock the East Coast! ~.^
